A man in a white shirt is seen from behind, holding his neck as if experiencing discomfort. He is seated at a desk with a smartphone in one hand and a laptop in the background. The setting suggests an office environment, with a focus on workplace stress or fatigue. The overall palette is neutral and professional.

About This Subspecialty

The Back and Neck Pain Center, a subspecialty within the Musculoskeletal Institute, diagnoses, treats and manages back and neck pain in patients (14 years and older).

Our team provides nonsurgical and surgical treatment options, including patient education, lifestyle modifications, physical therapy, medications, joint injections and surgical intervention when appropriate. We are dedicated to relieving back and neck pain, improving mobility and helping you regain comfort in your daily activities.

Our Treatment Approach

At UT Medicine, we take an integrated, multidisciplinary approach to your care. This means you will benefit from the expertise of multiple specialists across a variety of disciplines caring for you in one place — avoiding the need to schedule multiple appointments with providers at locations all over the city.

UT Medicine is anchored by Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin, where we collaborate with colleagues to apply leading-edge research, diagnostic and treatment techniques to the diagnosis and treatment of your condition. Advanced imaging and lab testing are also available on-site if needed.
